VaelowarePrivacy Policy

1. Who this applies to
This policy covers personal information collected through vaeloware.co.za, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Vaeloware, a one person studio, is the responsible party for the information described here, and its founder acts as the information officer.
2. What we collect
When you use the contact form or reach out by email, phone, or WhatsApp, we collect what you choose to share: typically your name, email address, company name, and the details of your project. We do not collect payment information through this site; any payments are handled directly with you, or through the third party payment providers we integrate for your project.
3. How we use it
We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, deliver a project, and, where relevant, invoice you or provide ongoing maintenance. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
4. Who we share it with
We may share your information with service providers strictly to deliver your project or run this site, such as hosting providers, email delivery services, or payment gateways you have asked us to integrate. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever add analytics to better understand how the site is used, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required. Any cookie strictly necessary for the site to function correctly does not require consent under POPIA, and none currently store personal information.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and project information for as long as needed to deliver the service, meet our accounting and legal obligations, and maintain a record of past work. You can ask us to delete information that is no longer needed at any time.
7. Your rights
Under POPIA, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request that we correct or delete it, object to how it is used, or withdraw consent where we rely on it. To do any of this, email hello@vaeloware.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information we hold, including limiting access to it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of the page.
